@WE (Adaptive Working Environment) is a way of thinking and implementing how work is carried out. It is a singular platform approach to a number of business requirements, some of which include:

• ECM (Enterprise Content Management)
• CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
• APG (Adaptive Process Guidance)
• BI (Business Intelligence)

The big difference is that all of these are found within a single platform, not modules or solutions cobbled together. In addition, all of these have to provide adaptive capabilities, empowering users to make key decisions and involving them in the decision making processes of how work is defined, and how work is processed.

An @WE will deliver all of these features through a single user experience, and allow integration with other line of business solutions. Finally we define an @WE, as one that is built on a Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) providing a full set of services for other line of business applications to integrate with.
