For a little while it has been very quiet on the “case management” front from workFile. Much of the focus and news has been related to the development of the workFile Vision release and the inclusion of workFile BPM in this. However, yesterday, Andrew Smith made the following announcement:
“The workFile Case Management module is still here, and though we have been concentrating hard on the BPM side of things, Case Management is still a priority for us. As such, it will be included in the workFile Vision release giving customers a choice of Case Management facilities or full blown BPM functionality”
Through the workFile Vision platform, modules will be activated or not based on licensing, so one presumes that if you go for the full blown BPM functionality that you will not pay for a Case Management module license, however, there is nothing stopping organisations from purchasing both. Individual departments within organisations may feel that a Case Management module may better fit their business requirements, with the inclusion of Case Management in the workFile Vision platform, the flexibility is there...
