As part of the BCME (Beverage Can Makers Europe) sustainability project, BCME required a central Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution to provide them with file storage, version control and archive features. With BCME members being spread across Europe, an extranet solution was identified as the best way in which to allow members to interact with a central ECM solution.
BCME chose workFile Vision to deliver the full ECM features along with some additional extranet features provided by workFile. With typical content management functions, such as storage, version control, key word search, template and stored searches workFile also delivered bulletin board features, calendar events, contanct management and news.
With adminsitration staff being able to maintain content such as news, calendar events, content management menu options, users etc. all other BCME members have the freedom to post bulletins and maintain contacts within the extranet solution. The extranet site is the central storage place and access point for all members involved with the sustainability project, ensuring process efficiency and that members are kept up to date with all the latest news and events from BCME.
